I'll stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Former two time unified boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers met for the customary confrontation, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
